JOIN US TO CELEBRATE MADELINE'S ARTISTIC ENDEAVORS AS SHE HEADS OFF TO PURSUE HER DREAMS!
Madeline Paul has always loved art. She began pursuing it in grade school and has continuously developed her skills in her favorite pastime. A recent high school graduate, Madeline is soon to begin classes at Virginia Commonwealth University's Art College.
This exhibit consists of two series, as Madeline explains:?
"From the time I was little, I have always loved painting sunsets. However, in all of my art for AP classes, I have painted people and still lifes. My dad always said how much he wished I would paint sunsets again, so SERIES #1 is dedicated to my father."
"For years now I have been fascinated with the human face and hand. Why? Because they portray such emotion. I chose to focus more on hands for this collection. The idea of these pieces is to show the evolution of one's life through interactive hand gestures. From birth to discovering the world, to love, to growing old, and finally to death, this series portrays all of this through hand gestures."
We hope to see you at the Reception on Saturday, August 4 from 7-9pm.
Madeline's work will be on display through the month of August. If you are interested in purchasing any of these pieces, contact Jennifer Judelsohn at (703)273-0485 or jennifer@soulworksstudio.com
