Self improvement - Spirituality - Personal Growth: What Happens ...

The subject of death is considered morbid, but it is reality-we are all going to die. It is sad to be separated from our loved one, but death should not be viewed by Christians in an extreme negative connotation. To have such an attitude is to deny the victory the faithful one has received. Our whole purpose as a Christian is to live righteously so that we can go to heaven.

Since the beginning of time people have wondered what happens after death. Some believe that death is the end of existence. Others think they will come back as another being. The Bible affirms that there is life after death. We know little of what life after death will be like, but Scripture assures us that it will be far better than what we have experienced on earth.

What is death? Death occurs the moment the spirit leaves the body. James 2:26 stated that without the spirit, the body is dead. Those who have been near death describe it as looking down on their body. They say if a very peaceful experience. According to Ecclesiastes 12:7 the first thing that happens when we die is that our spirit will return to God who gave it.

One minister who was with a person when they died said that he opened up his eyes and said, "I have been permitted to tell you that there are more than two people in this room." David stated, "Even when I must walk through the valley of death. I will fear no evil, for you are with me" (Psalm 23:4). We do not have to face death alone. We will be in good hands.

What happens after Death? The Bible says that death is a victory for faithful believers. The body will be eventually resurrected and changed from physical to spiritual. We will meet Jesus in the air and if we have been faithful to God we will be taken to a place of comfort (First Thessalonians 4:16-18). The word "Heaven" occurs hundreds of times in Scripture and the whole gist of the Bible is to help us live a righteous life so we can go there.

Those who are near death wonder if God really exists and if they are acceptable to him. Those who have obeyed the gospel of Christ and have been faithful and studied the Bible know the answer to that. They have the calm assurance that all is well with their soul. If you are unfamiliar with the teachings of the sacred book, you need to go to a Bible believing church and attend classes to be ready for your eventual death.

In heaven, God will wipe away every tear from our eyes, and death will not exist, or mourning or crying, or pain, for the former things will have ceased to exist. If you are unprepared for this wonderful place, you need the book, "Climbing the Heavenly Stairs." It was written not only for Bible scholars, but for those unacquainted with the Bible. It helps to understand God and his ways and how to be acceptable to him. http://thelynnbradleybook.com/.
